Remove the tree from its packaging as soon as you receive it and preferably plant it in its final spot right away.
Check that the root ball is sufficiently moist before putting the tree in the ground.
Water generously during and after planting so the roots can establish themselves well.
Avoid dry soil: a dry root ball in dry ground is difficult to fully rehydrate afterwards.

How do you care for young trees in July and August?

Because of the summer heat and drought, young trees can struggle quickly. Make sure to provide regular care:

Watering: it's better to give a lot of water once or twice a week than a little every day. This way the entire root zone is reached. Check whether the soil is moist at a depth of 10cm (note that moisture needs can differ between trees).
