Coconut Planting Mats
Coconut products are made entirely from 100% plant-based materials and are
biodegradable.
They consist of pure coconut fiber (coco peat), a by-product of the coconut industry, sourced from the coconut palm (Cocos nucifera).
After their lifespan of approximately 3–5 years, the products are composted naturally.
This improves both the soil structure and soil life.
For products such as edging, discs, trunk protection, and plant protectors,
natural latex from the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is added.
This ensures a long lifespan, dimensional stability, and ease of use.
Material & Production
Raw material: made from a mix of coconut fiber and natural latex
Process: latex is added to woven coconut fiber products for extra strength
Specifications: all products are custom-made according to customer specifications
Environment: all products are 100% biodegradable and cold compostable without external additives (chemicals or dyes)
Sustainability & Ease of Use
Ecologically responsible: it is a 100% renewable raw material. Unlike plastic edging, it does not leave microplastics in the soil.
No waste: after use, the product composts and adds organic material to the soil.
Ease of use: it is lightweight material and easy to apply.
Stimulates soil life: coconut fiber is a natural product that stimulates soil life (such as earthworms and beneficial microorganisms).
Coconut Planting Edging
- Sturdy and durable, with a dimensionally stable structure for a long service life
- Slightly water-permeable: also promotes root growth outside the tree root ball
- Flexible and wear-resistant, does not break when touched
- Sustainable replacement for plastic watering rings
Instructions
The watering ring is supplied in one piece.
Dig the watering ring around the root ball of the tree to a depth of about 10 cm and make sure it is neatly positioned and fits snugly around the root ball of the tree.
The loose ends can be laid over each other and nailed or screwed to the tree stakes between which the watering ring is attached.
Then press the soil firmly on both sides of the watering ring so that it is securely locked in place.
